St. Louis, MO, USA (Active)

St. Louis, MO’s Heavy Weather is an evolution of a songwriting project from band leader Nick Bitikofer. He has been releasing music under the name Heavy Weather since 2012. Since 2019, Heavy Weather has had a consistent lineup in place (Bitikofer on vocals/guitar along with Greg Myers on drums and Brian Hilderbrand on bass/vocals) and has become a collaborative band versus a solo project. They play guitar-driven rock music taking influences primarily from indie rock, punk and 90’s alternative. Think something between The Weakerthans and Jawbreaker. The lyrics tend to be earnest, direct and emotional, frequently surrounding feelings of frustration, longing, anxiety, self-doubt and getting older… along with some occasional optimism that creeps through.
