Hailing from Vancouver, BC, Canada, Night Court is a brand new lo-fi, high energy punk rock power trio. They previously dropped a track on our "SLN-210: 10 Year Anniversary Compilation" and now they have a brand new album on the way, “Nervous Birds! One”, that we’re releasing on cassette tape and digital long player on December 3 in cooperation with Canada's Debt Offensive Records. Lead single, ‘Circus Of Wolves’, has premiered today along with a video at Scene Point Blank. The tune is also up on our bandcamp sampler. You can pre-order “Nervous Birds! The lead single will also be widely available beginning November 12 on all other platforms. Night Court's “Nervous Birds! One” was written and recorded by the band in April-July 2020. The album represents the first half of the Nervous Birds! duology and lights the fuse for Night Court’s breakout explosion onto the scene. Striking a wild balance between embracing the spirit of inspiration and abandoning the strictures of inhibition, Night Court is set loose to draw new/glue repurposed maps over the post/pop/punk/lo-fi rock landscape. Wanting to travel light, the band decided to write only good songs with no unnecessary weight, leaving concentrated grooves of distorted/indelible catchiness in their wake. Prepare yourselves.

We are happy to say that Falsetto Boy is an official new addition to the SLN talent roster! Falsetto Boy is the moniker for solo indie rock material written and performed by Denver, CO's (by way of St. Louis, MO) very own Jim Fitzpatrick. Jim is no stranger to SLN as he's a member of the power trio ZEPHR, one of our finest acts. Falsetto Boy was first featured on the "SLN-210: 10 Year Anniversary Compilation" and has a brand new digital single out today! It's called 'Clearing's Light' and it's the first single off of the forthcoming double album, "People Crying In Cars", due out later this year. The digital-only single is pay-what-you-want with all proceeds going to Metro Caring (www.metrocaring.org). You can grab the tune from our WEB STORE or from our BANDCAMP. 'Clearing's Light' is just one side of Jim's songwriting prowess and we look forward to sharing more with y'all very soon. Seth Anderson has just released a brand new digital single! It's entitled 'Big Red Sun' and it's a pay-what-you-want track. 'Big Red Sun' is further proof of Seth Anderson’s talents as a songwriter and singer. Whether it’s just his voice, an acoustic guitar and sparse instrumentation (like on this new tune) or being backed by a full band (like on much of his last album, “We Could Be.”), Seth is a master of expression and melody. Here's another one y'all probably know about by now... today marks the official release of the "SLN-210: 10 Year Anniversary Compilation"! 30 current and soon-to-be-current SLN artists each contributed a previously unreleased track or alternate version of a track to make this compilation a unique celebration of the past decade. It's available as a limited edition 2 x Compact Disc set in a printed digipack lite (with download!) as well as digitally from our WEB STORE and our BANDCAMP. 15 copies of the "All Smashed Up!" hand numbered lathe cut companion 7"s on clear vinyl with stamped B sides (SLN-210B) were made and only available as random giveaways with 2 x CD set mail orders. We hope the lucky recipients enjoy them! We're starting to run low on the CD sets and the 7"s will be gone shortly, so this is pretty much last call for any physical versions of the comp! The "SLN-210: 10 Year Anniversary Compilation" is on all the digital/streaming-type sites and the CD sets are distributed by Recess Ops. The CD sets are also in your fave Denver area record shops. So, there are still ways to acquire this big release. There are interviews, factoids, photos and more that SPELLS fans old and new will enjoy.The included orange translucent 7” flexi disc features SPELLS performing the song 'FANGIRL', which was written in dedication to the zine's creators.You can grab a zine/flexi combo (with song download!) from our WEB STORE and our BANDCAMP.
