We at SLNHQ have been enjoying the slower pace of late, but the shark must keep moving… We’re excited to tell you that FANGIRL #2, featuring The Smokestack Relics, will be released on September 22, 2022! You may recall that FANGIRL is Colorado’s niftiest fan-zine. Each issue features one Colorado band, selected by the editorial staff. There’s a wealth of band info, record reviews and a unique multi-part interview. As a bonus, each issue comes with a 7” flexi disc with music by the featured band. How cool is all of that?!... It’s FANGIRL cool!! Issue #2, printed by View Shed Studio, features brand new SLN family members The Smokestack Relics. The flexi disc/digital single features the ‘Stacks performing their new single 'Anatomy Of A Wolf', which offers an eclectic glimpse at the sounds the Denver, CO-based brotherly duo of Cameron and Collin Webb (the ‘Stacks y’all) are capable of making. The Smokestack Relics "Anatomy Of A Wolf" FANGIRL #2 Zine + Flexi Disc 7" Combo is now available for pre-order via our WEB STORE as well as our BANDCAMP. ‘Anatomy Of A Wolf’, which is catalogued as SLN-225, will also be available as a standalone digital single (hint: zine pre-orders get the single right away). There’s a release party for FANGIRL #2 on September 23 at The Squire Lounge in Denver that will see The Smokestack Relics headlining a bill that also features Charlie & The Shithead (of SPELLS, the subjects of FANGIRL #1) as well as A Strange Happening. The Tuff Bluff 7” flexi disc single, “Poppies”, is here! ‘Poppies’, the tune, is carved into a translucent red circle and comes with a download that features 2 bonus tracks, as does the digital-only version of the single. Tuff Bluff specializes in catchy garage punk gems and this initial release is just a hint at what’s to come from the talented trio. The Gentlemen Rogues LP “A History Of Fatalism” is upon us! You might have noticed that the catalog number goes back a bit. "A History Of Fatalism" took a while to get pressed due to the vinyl backup. We didn’t want to make our friends and fans to wait a long time for their orders to come in, so all parties decided to slow roll it. Well, it was worth the wait in any case!You may recall that “A History Of Fatalism” combines the EP's "A History So Repeating" and "Fatal Music", with each EP being remixed and remastered. Gentlemen Rogues have never sounded so good! Well, wait… they always sound so good! But y’all get it. If you didn’t get around to pre-ordering the record, fear not. You can still get the LP on translucent red vinyl (with full album download, bonus tracks, and a bonus DJ copy of the “Do The Resurrection!” 7”), or go digital-only from our WEB STORE, as well as our BANDCAMP.
