Wait, what?! We've been around for 10 years?? Oh wow, we've been around for 10 years!! To celebrate, we're releasing the "SLN-210: 10 Year Anniversary Compilation" on 9/30/21. It features previously unreleased tracks or alternate versions of existing tracks from 30 different SLN artists we've worked with, artists we're working with right now and artists we're about to work with. It will be issued on a limited edition 2 x CD set in printed digipack lites as well as digitally. There are also 15 "All Smashed Up!" hand numbered lathe cut companion 7"s on clear vinyl with stamped B sides (SLN-210B), only available as random giveaways with 2 x CD set mail orders directly from SLN! SLN's first official stand-alone CD release, "War Party Favors" by Friends Of Cesar Romero, is out now! The album contains 12 new tracks of killer carport rock that bear the signature sound of the one and only J. Waylon Porcupine. With "War Party Favors", J. Way delivers one of the catchiest and most cohesive sets of Friends Of Cesar Romero tunes since the inception of the project 10 years ago. You can grab a compact disc (in a smart and stylish eco-pack) or digital-only copy from our WEB STORE or from our BANDCAMP. The CD is of course distributed in the US by Recess Ops and all the usual independent record stores along Colorado's Front Range are carrying it. If streaming is your thing, it's everywhere streams are streamed. Thanks for tagging along as we revisit a format that we thought had gone the way of the dodo. Wow, it's been 10 years since SLN first launched and we're about to hit our 100th release (give or take, we hop around). We're excited to tell you about SLN-200: the SPELLS "FANGIRL" Zine + Flexi Disc 7" Combo. FANGIRL is Colorado’s niftiest new fan-zine. Each issue features one Colorado band, selected by the editorial staff. There’s a wealth of band info, record reviews and a unique multi-part interview. As a bonus, each issue comes with a 7” flexi disc with music by the featured band. How cool is all of that?!... It’s FANGIRL cool!! Issue #1, printed by View Shed Studio, features longtime SLN mainstays SPELLS. The flexi disc/digital single features SPELLS performing the song 'FANGIRL', which was written specifically for the zine's creators. We thought this was a pretty fun entry as SLN-200! The zine and single officially come out on 9/28/21 (hit our WEB STORE for more info), but we'll be starting pre-orders for the zine + flexi combo on 9/14/21. You'll get the digital single right away if you place a pre-order, so mark your calendars! We're also having a release party in Denver at The 1010 Workshop on 9/24/21 featuring SPELLS (makes sense), Black Dots, Curious Things, comedy by Andrew Orvedahl and The Postman DJing in between bands and closing out the night.
