The friendliest neighborhood pop-punk band in Denver, Bad Year, has a brand new self-titled album coming out! Tuesday September 24 is the release date. This is Bad Year's first proper album. After a couple of EP's between 2017-2019, the band had a couple of hiatuses and a few lineup changes. This forthcoming long player is stacked front to back with ultra-catchy hooks and sing along anthems. You can pre-order Bad Year's “S/T” from our WEB STORE or our BANDCAMP as a 12" vinyl long player on translucent red with black splatter vinyl and/or a digital long player. Pre-orders will get two singles, 'Get Well' and 'Idle Hands', as immediate downloads. Our bandcamp sampler also features 'Idle Hands', so pop over their and check it out. This fantastic album is another co-release with our super Denver record label pals, Motorcycle Potluck Records. SLN Welcomes Some European Sounds With Germany’s City Speak! Pre-Order The Debut Album Now!

We are delighted to welcome City Speak from Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany to the SLN family! Founded during lockdown in 2020, City Speak prefers to stick to light fare (patriarchy, obedience to authority, exploitation by multinational corporations), but still manage to pose the seriously important questions (pineapple on pizza- yes or no?). They put all of that into songs that sound like “’77 punk with a bit of TSOL”. The proof of these concepts is forthcoming with the band’s debut album, “Holding Water”. The record is set to be released on August 22nd and “Holding Water" is now available for pre-order in our WEB STORE and on our BANDCAMP on ice ice baby vinyl LP, compact disc and digital long player. You’ll get lead single, ‘Daydream League’, immediately with pre-order and you can also hear that tune on our bandcamp sampler. It’s also on all streaming platforms. City Speak’s “Holding Water” is being released in conjunction with Keep It A Secret Records (Germany), Shield Recordings (The Netherlands) and Cat's Claw Records (United Kingdom). We’re excited to have our first European album-act in our stable of stars and it’s even cooler that our friend Cornelius of Keep It A Secret Records is also in the band!

SLN-250 Is A Split That Unites Two Best Bud Bands!

Alrighty music fans! After much teasing and some early tour copies getting snatched up, the new split from The Drolls and Gentlemen Rogues is officially out now! It's an EP, cleverly titled "Split", and has one original tune and one cover tune from each band. That's 4 killer songs by 2 amazing bands! This split features everything we all love about both The Drolls and Gentlemen Rogues... Catchy, hook-laden power-pop-punk that's as skillfully executed as it is heartfelt. Both bands are the real deal and this record is further proof of that. The Drolls/Gentlemen Rogues "Split" can be obtained as a vinyl 7" (on opaque white vinyl or mellow yellow vinyl) and/or digital extended player from our WEB STORE and from our BANDCAMP. Grab it from us or the bands. Look for it at Seattle, Austin and Denver area record shops respectively. The 7" will be distributed by Recess Ops and carried by Green Noise Records too. The digital is on all the streamy streamer platforms as well. This is the earwormiest split you're going to hear for quite some time folks, so get on it!

Pressing Info: 100 7"s on opaque white vinyl / digital extended player, 200 7"s on mellow yellow vinyl / digital extended player. Released 6/28/24.
